History
ONCE Foundation was established, on February 1988, by resolution of ONCE General Council to promote cooperation and integration of people with disabilities. From the funds invested by ONCE in social programmes, 1 euro in 3 is earmarked for cooperation with disabilities other than blindness. This is the funding source for ONCE Foundation, a non-profit legally established institution planned as a tool for cooperation and solidarity of Spanish blind people (ONCE) with other disabled individuals.
ONCE Foundation allocates 60% of its resources to promote both stable employment and disabled people training, besides other programmes aimed to achieve barriers-free accessibility.
For training and employment programmes management, ONCE Foundation relies, since 1989, in a Group of Companies named Fundosa Group.
Our companies are active in a variety of sectors that supply an extensive range of products and services throughout the national territory. The Group’s initial operations have steadily expanded to meet the market needs and are increasingly ready to consolidate alliances with socially committed institutions.
Fundosa Group corporate effectiveness has encouraged established companies to hire people with disabilities
